Zypher Strategic Solutions is me — Ashir Syed, founder and principal consultant. I have spent over eleven years in risk, compliance and governance roles across community services, disability support and vocational education: building compliance frameworks, leading audits, and helping organisations meet regulatory standards without losing sight of the people those standards exist to protect.
The unusual part is what sits alongside that. I build. Most GRC consultants will hand you a framework and leave you to run it in spreadsheets; most Microsoft consultants can build anything but have never maintained a risk register or fronted a board with an overdue action list. Doing both is where the value is, because a control that is inconvenient does not get used, and a system built by someone who has never had to use one is usually inconvenient.
I am based in Hobart and work with organisations right across Australia. Almost all of this can be done remotely — I build in your tenant, not on a plane — and I travel locally where being in the room genuinely helps.
